Our Story

Mo Chilli BBQ is owned by Mike and Heather Harbin. Mike has been cooking barbecue for over 15 years in Central Texas and is now bringing his expertise to Port Townsend.

Highlights / History

-We started as a rookie BBQ Team from Round Rock, Texas

-Mike Harbin served in the United States Marines after high school.

-Bryan Johnson (was an original founder) Served in the US Army and is OSU alumni.

-We both love BBQ and love to be around it.

-Bryan's family has been smoking for years ...

-I have many ties to BBQ, My brother-in-law and sister are very involved in the BBQ circuit in central Texas; they've captured many awards in numerous competitions and carry some Grand Champion titles as well.

-We enjoy close friendships with many talented pit masters throughout central Texas.

-We left our careers back in Texas in the insurance world and decided to head to the Pacific North West.

-My wife Heather and I currently run our business together. Heather is a graduate and communications major from the University of Washington and grew up here in the Port Townsend area.

For now, we're having fun, creating memories and satisfying appetites!
